Lemons To Sweeten The Planet
Used Lemon Halves:
(you can store your halves in the freezer and use when needed)
Clean the microwave: Just place inside for one minute and easily wipe down.
Fabric Softener: Clothes are washed in alkaline soap and need something acidic to neutralize them to make them soft. Take a lemon half and toss into your dryer. If you are
concerned about pulp just wrap them lemon in an old stocking or sock.
Counter and floor: Boil your used lemons in water, add a dash of natural liquid soap, and wipe down kitchen and bathroom surfaces for a natural, non-toxic sense of clean.
Glass and Windows: squeeze and strain one fresh lemon for every 2 cups of water.
Furniture cleaner – ½ cup fresh squeezed (strained) lemon juice to every 1/4 teaspoon of olive oil. The lemon cleans the dirt and the oil makes a nice, but not too oily shine.
Acne – rub to dry acne and freshen your skin.
Freshen your dishwasher – From time to time, take some lemons out of your freezer and place them into your dishwasher and run a cycle. This freshens your washer.
Lemons are used as a liver purifier in Ayurvedic medicine. Just mix the juice of
one fresh lemon with some hot water and drink as a daily tea.
