What ever we put onto our skin eventually sinks in
and also enters our water system. Let’s keep ourselves and our ocean clean.
Recipe for All Natural Sunscreen
1 small saucepan & a blender
3 oz sesame oil
2 oz coconut oil
2 oz beeswax (buy at health food store)
4 1/2 oz distilled water (food store, baby section, be sure there is no fluoride in it)
2 1/2 tablespoons of zinc oxide (pharmacy) or diaper rash cream
1 1/2 tablespoons wheat germ oil (health food store)
Optional Scent: a few drops of your favorite essential oil
Place the saucepan to medium/low temperature. Mix sesame oil, coconut oil and beeswax and gently melt. Remove from heat and add distilled water. Mix with the mixer until the ingredients are thick and smooth. Add zinc oxide and wheat germ oil.
Pour into storage jar and leave to set. Apply when needed.
