Go Green By Using Your Oranges Twice for Natural Products

1- Make citrus-scented vinegar: just take your squeezed oranges or peels and place them into a jar filled with white vinegar. Let sit for about 3 weeks and strain.

2 – Company coming? Place used peels into a crock pot with a cinnamon stick and your home will be beautifully scented without smoke or artificial means.

3 – Make your own Hairspray. YES! You can make hairspray from orange peels. The simple reason it works is because the sugar in the peels acts as the binding agent to your hair. No aerosols, no toxins, and you can use the same bottle over and over to save the planet some plastic. Here’s how:

Simply collect peels until you have about 3 cups. Then, put them into a pot and fill the pot with water to just cover the peels. Cover and boil on low. Once boiling starts, take off the cover and simmer until the only thing left is a thick paste. Cool, strain the peels, and pour into a spray bottle. Add a tiny bit of alcohol to preserve and water the rest of the way. The more peels, the more sticky it will be.
